NGUNI 7 Ihwanqa – ‘Mottled Black And White Beast’

The dairy cows are black and white. For milk in the urns, and creamy layers on top the next morning. Daisy had a calf named Pansy, and Pansy had a calf named June. By a bull with no name. The Nguni cow is not a milk producing cow of mass proportion like the Jerseys but their colour says they could be. Here, following one another into the stalls. Putting each other in boxes. The paths they create whilst aimlessly following one another are depicted in the larger than life horn. Brush marks sculpting the roads. All our paths, not always in black and white, leading to some point.
