The simplification of the complex. I landed in a foreign city to have a show some years ago. Different smells. Loud noises just like on television. Lots of yellow cars carrying people. I had a hot dog from a fast food store on wheels. The man said he had a friend who also lived in Africa, was from Cairo and did I know him? I said the name wasn’t familiar. I think Africa might have been a country for him. I walked and walked and walked. It was absolutely glorious. The hot dogs are not that agreeable. But the city began to simplify this African Landscape in a far away place. They are symbiotic for the art world.
